Dear Pilgrims,

We would like to encourage you to the spiritual journey include places connected with the live of Pope John Paul II called also as John Paul the Great. We would like to introduce you to his beginnings, his childhood, early priesthood but also with signs he left during his Pontificate and after his death. We would like to show you how he became one of the most important character in human history.

Poland has a great spiritual heritage and a real wealth of sacral architecture. In Poland, faith, spirituality and prayer have always played a significant role for the whole nation. We will help you to discover Polish fine monasteries and abbeys, pilgrimage churches, cathedrals and many other unique churches during visiting the most important places in our country.

 


PROGRAM:

Day 1
Arrival to Warsaw Chopin Airport and welcome by EEC-Travel Tour Director. Transfer by AC coach and check in at hotel located in the downtown. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.

Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel. Full-day tour with EEC-Travel Tour Director in Warsaw. Sightseeing of the Old Town and its monuments and places connected with the pope such as: House of the Ursuline Sisters, Cathedral Basilica of the Martyrdom of St. John the Baptist on Świętojańska street, Piłsudski’s Square, House of the Archbishops of Warsaw, All Saints’ Church. Dinner and overnight in Warsaw.

Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from Warsaw. Visiting Głogowiec birthplace of St. Faustina Kowalska (museum) and Świnice with the Shrine of the Birth and Baptism of St. Faustina. Visit to Zduńska Wola, birthplace of St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe, Museum and a Shrine of the Saint. Dinner and overnight in Częstochowa.

Day 4
After breakfast visiting Jasna Góra Monastery the most famous shrine to the Virgin Mary in Poland and the country’s greatest place of pilgrimage, with the famous image Black Madonna of Częstochowa, that miracle powers are well known all over the world. Departure to Cracow. Dinner and overnight in Cracow.

Day 5
Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing of Cracow by „the footsteps of pope”, places such as: St Florian’s Church, Royal Crypts, The John Paul II Cathedral Museum, Franciszkańska street and the famous Sanctuary of the Divine Mercy in Cracow-Łagiewniki. Dinner and overnight in Cracow.

Day 6
Breakfast at the hotel. Trip to Wadowice – city of John Paul II birth and Kalwaria Zebrzydowska – Marian Shrine of Passion. Dinner and overnight in Cracow.

Day 7
Breakfast at the hotel. Trip to Wieliczka, where is situated the oldest, working salt mine in the world. Dinner and overnight in Cracow.

Day 8
Breakfast at the hotel. Visiting the former concentration camps at Auschwitz and Birkenau. Dinner and overnight in Cracow.

Day 9
Breakfast at the hotel. Trip to Zakopane, program includes: Krupówki street, Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima and reaching Gubałówka mountain by cable railway. Dinner and overnight in Cracow.

Day 10
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from the hotel in Cracow and transfer at the airport.
